Short answer: FinApp handles a vehicle as collateral valued by an assessed value, not by weight. The loan form takes the item name, quantity and assessed value, adds up the total assessed value and applies the scheme's LTV percentage: eligible amount = total assessed value x scheme LTV %. Vehicle loans also show an LTV risk badge, and the approver sees the assessed value of every item in the approval dialog.

How is a vehicle valued in the loan form?

FinApp supports two kinds of collateral. Gold and silver are weighed and valued by rate. Collateral such as a vehicle is valued by the amount someone assesses, so the weight fields are hidden and the form asks for what matters.

Item name

What is pledged, for example the vehicle.

Quantity

The number of items.

Assessed value

The value entered by the person doing the assessment.

Scheme LTV %

The scheme sets the loan-to-value percentage that applies.

How is the eligible amount worked out?

The form adds the assessed values and multiplies the total by the scheme's LTV percentage. For example, an assessed value of ₹1,00,000 under a scheme with 60% LTV gives an eligible amount of ₹60,000. The example only shows the arithmetic; your schemes set the real percentage.

Where does the vehicle information come from?

The details recorded for a collateral are set up once for the material type. The administrator configures the properties a vehicle needs, such as the vehicle number, and the loan form then asks for them. Search later finds the loan from any of those details.

What does the approver see?

The loan approval dialog shows an Assessed Value column for each item, so the person sanctioning can check every appraisal. A vehicle loan also carries an LTV risk badge to flag a high loan against the assessed value.

How it works

  1. An administrator sets the material type to assessed-value mode and defines the vehicle properties.
  2. Create a scheme for that material with its LTV %.
  3. On the loan form, add the vehicle with its quantity and assessed value.
  4. Check the eligible amount, then send the loan for approval.
