Short answer: CK Tech microfinance software manages group lending from branch to repayment. Each group has a collection day, a collection agent, CGT 1 to 3 dates and a GRT date. A loan can be created only when the member belongs to the group, the member's KYC is verified, the CGT and GRT dates are recorded and the member has no other active loan.

What does a group record hold?

Each group is a master record, so the same information is used everywhere the group appears: loan setup, collection sheets, settlement and reports.

Branch

Every group belongs to a branch, and its loans carry the same branch.

Collection day

The weekday the group pays. The first instalment date and the "today's groups" view both follow it.

Collection agent

The field agent who collects from the group and later hands the cash over for settlement.

CGT 1 to 3 dates

The dates of the three Compulsory Group Training sessions held before the first loan.

GRT date

The date of the Group Recognition Test, the final check before lending starts.

Members

Customers are added to the group, and a loan is set up for each member from the group's loan overview.

Which checks run before a member gets a loan?

The rules are enforced by the system, not left to the person entering the loan, so a loan that breaks them cannot be saved.

Member of the group

The customer must belong to the group the loan is created for.

KYC verified

The customer's KYC status must be Verified.

CGT and GRT recorded

The group must have CGT 1 to 3 and the GRT date filled in.

One active loan

A customer can have only one active loan at a time.

Valid scheme

The chosen scheme needs a valid term and EMI amount.

How do field agents see their groups?

A user who is the collection agent of a group sees and collects only that group. The collections page also has a "today's groups" switch that lists the groups whose collection day is today, so an agent starts the day with the right list.

How it works

  1. Add the branch.
  2. Create the group with its collection day and collection agent.
  3. Record the CGT 1 to 3 dates and the GRT date.
  4. Add the members as customers and verify their KYC.
  5. Set up each member's loan from the group's loan overview, choosing a scheme.
